2014, I will miss you. You gave me the courage and opportunity to give my first keynote address, graduation speech and to lead mindfulness workshops from Vegas to Boston, all in the service of liberation and joy. You gave me a whole new tribe of friends (you know who you are!) who have been an endless source of support and inspiration. You gifted me with a free trip to Africa where I got to dance onstage and trek through the jungles of Madagascar, marveling at incredible creatures and plants that exist nowhere else on earth. I got to spend a glorious month in my beloved Sedona. I tapped into some dormant creativity and had my first article published. People are paying me to do work that I love, and it is in the service of the greater good. I bow down to whatever mysterious forces made all of this possible.
Of course, the year was not without its challenges but it is not time to dwell on those. And, as so frequently happens, I am quite sure I will look back on those as necessary endings and opportunities for growth.
I wish all of us a new year that feels like flying. If you need a little help finding your wings, please reach out.
2015, I look forward to meeting you.
