“It is a radical act of love to sit down and be quiet for a time by yourself.”

These words were spoken by one of my favorite teachers, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, an eloquent advocate for mindfulness for the past 39 years.

I am committing daily radical acts of love as I write to you from wild, remote, beautiful Hatteras Island where I am giving myself the gift of lots of quiet time by myself. It has been my tradition to come here for about 4 weeks at the beginning of every year to reconnect to myself and to the natural world (which are actually one and the same).

By consciously deciding where my attention goes, and to step away from the fear-based messages of the culture, I get to stay empowered and stay connected to the daily wonders and miracles. Attention and intention largely create our reality, and my reality is filled with beauty and love.

On this day where the concept of love has become commercialized and commodified, I am envisioning:

~A love so big that it could never be measured in roses or chocolates.

~A love so big that it dissolves the boundaries between people, between species, between nations.

~A love so radical and powerful that it emboldens us to step beyond the narrow confines of our ego and into the vastness of who we really are.

~A love so forgiving and so tender that it allows us to see when other people are acting out of their own ego and pain, and to love them anyway.

A Pathway to Sanity

Now more than ever we need to prioritize loving ourselves back to sanity. And it has to start with truly loving our self.

This is a pivotal moment for our species to come to our senses. And mindfulness is the most powerful tool I know for the personal transformation that will ultimately lead to the planetary transformation that we need.

Mindfulness IS a radical act of love. Come be radical with me for the next 10-weeks. Mindfulness teacher training starts online on Thursday Feb. 15th.If you can’t join live, everything will be recorded.

Even if you donโ€™t intend to hang out a shingle as a mindfulness teacher, you being more of who you really are, more embodied and more connected to your heart IS teaching those around you what is possible when we spend more time in love. ๐Ÿ’›

If this is intriguing to you please click here for more information or here to sign up. It would be my honor to support you for the next 10 weeks.

Wishing you and those around you so much love on this day and every day,

Erin
